In fact, on an annual basis we align the company's safety goals with the overall Company objectives. Drug Free Workplace

Purpose: A&F General Contractor LLC is committed to a safe workplace and in trying to ensure that our employees are protected from hazards relating to the use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace the following program was developed.

Applicants: Applicants for employment may be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screening test as a condition of employment with A&F General Contractor LLC. Applicants who refuse to be tested will not be considered for employment. Applicants who test positive may request a second test at a laboratory selected by A&F General Contractor LLC. This second test, if requested, must be performed within 24 hours of notification by the applicant, and the cost of such test will be borne by the applicant.

Test Requirements:

Post accident/incident: CDL drivers, equipment operators, company vehicle operators

Random testing: CDL drivers, equipment operators, company vehicle operators

Reasonable suspicion: All employees, at the request of a supervisor

Test Location: The safety officer will designate the facility to be used for testing. Any employee suspected of being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol will not be allowed to drive themselves to the testing facility. A supervisor and/or safety person will accompany the employee to the testing facility and will remain at the facility until a medical person has taken responsibility for the employee.
